Each fall, the Friends of Hopkins Center for the Arts presents a select, juried show of work by member artists. All current members may submit work for consideration. Unlike our spring members’ show when all work is exhibited, for this show a jury will review submitted work and choose pieces for the show. Artwork accepted for the show will then be judged for ribbons and cash awards. Plan now so that you can make the drop off deadlines. (Note that we no longer require any pre-registration; simply drop off your 1-2 pieces to have them considered for exhibition. The fee if $15 to submit one piece; $18 to submit two pieces. This money is used to cover the expenses of the show and is not refundable.) If your membership is expiring, you may renew it at the time you drop off your work.
Drop off: Sunday, September 15, 1-4pm or Monday, September 16, 4-7pm. (There are no exceptions to these dates and times.)
Jurying will occur on Tuesday, September 17 and you will be notified by e-mail if your work has been accepted or not by Thursday.
The public opening for the show will be Saturday, September 21, 6-8pm. Awards will be announced at 7pm.
