Olson’s art has been exhibited regionally and nationally since 2000, and she’s been the recipient of numerous grants from the Minnesota State Arts Board and Jerome Foundation, for art and her innovative arts programming. Olson has a particular interest in the affective qualities of art. She studied the intersections of creativity and spirit while earning an MA in theology and art at United Theological Seminary. She also holds a BA degree in written communication from St. Catherine’s University in St. Paul, Minn. Committed to arts programming that fosters community engagement, in 2013 she completed a fellowship at the Creative Community Leadership Institute.
