Ruthie Foster is another long-standing audience favorite at the Hopkins Center for the Arts.  Her vocals have been compared to Aretha Franklin and Ella Fitzgerald.  Texas-based singer and songwriter Ruthie Foster has a wide palette of American song forms – gospel and blues to jazz, folk and soul.  She is an incredible live performer and a legend in her own right.
