Twin Cities Artful Book Club

Making art can be an exhilarating but oftentimes isolating experience. That’s why Twin Cities painter, Pam Luer, approached the Hopkins Center for the Arts with her idea for the Artful Book Club.  The club is open to anyone at no charge who is interested  in discussing stories relevant to the lives of artists in a welcoming, relaxing atmosphere.

The Artful Book Club meets the first Tuesday of each month from 6:30-8pm.

UPCOMING BOOK SELECTIONS:

March 5: “Strapless” by Deborah Davis.  The intermingled fates of a famous artist (John Singer Sargent) and one of his most famous subjects are explored with wit, precision, and a delightful sense of counterpoint. -Anton Gill

April 2: “Trust the Process: an artist’s guide to letting go” by Shaun McNiff.

Birchbark Books carries the club’s book selections. Visit them at birchbarkbooks.com or in south Minneapolis at 2115 W 21st St. Call to reserve your copy: 612-374-4023.
