July 13 – August 12, 2018
Opening Reception: Friday, July 13, 6-8pm
A group exhibition of work, both sculptural and functional, created by graduates of the MN NICE program (Minnesota New Institute for Ceramic Education.) Co-founded in 2014 as a collaboration between artist and educator, Ursula Hargens, and Northern Clay Center, MN NICE creates a new model for education, providing non-traditional students access to high-level training in ceramic materials, history and theory, and professional practices. Each artist interpreted the theme of “Teetering” to explore diverse themes of social and political division/imbalance, environmental issues, and the economics of social well-being.
