The Hopkins Center for the Arts is located at 1111 Mainstreet in downtown Hopkins, MN, between 11th and 12th Avenues.













By Car

To reach the Center from Highway 169, take the Excelsior Boulevard exit going west. From Excelsior, go north on 11th Avenue until you reach Mainstreet. The Center is located on the northwest corner of 11th Avenue South and Mainstreet.

Free parking for 3½ hours is available in the Municipal Parking Ramp located ½ block south of Mainstreet on 11th Avenue South in Hopkins. There are three handicap parking places in the alley directly behind the Arts Center building.

By Bus

There’s a Metro Transit bus stop directly in front of the Arts Center. Routes 12, 612, 615 & 664 will take you to the Arts Center. For a route map & current schedule see Metro Transit’s website.

By Trail

The Arts Center is located between the Lake Minnetonka LRT Trail and the Minnesota River Bluffs LRT Trail. To get to the Arts Center via these trails: exit north on 11th Avenue from the Minnesota River Bluffs LRT Trail, or exit south on 11th Avenue from the Lake Minnetonka LRT Trail. Either way, we are 2-3 blocks off the trail on 11th Avenue. See the Three Rivers Park District Website.

Accessibility

Hopkins Center for the Arts, completed in 1997, is compliant with ADA facility requirements. Accessible parking spaces are provided at the closest place in relationship to the accessible entrance. The Center is on a public bus route. TDD/TTY service is available to patrons through the City of Hopkins. Art is hung in compliance with ADA guidelines, centered at 58-62 inches from the floor. All labels and text are in high contrast and in 18 point fonts. Labels are placed between 48 to 67 inches above the floor. All artwork and its placement is evaluated to ensure that no potential hazard is created for patrons. Wheelchair seating is available for concerts and theater events. These seats may be reserved online or by calling the box office. Ushers with flashlights are available to assist people with seating if needed. Assisted listening devices are available at the box office. ASL interpreters will be provided for HCA events, if requested at least two weeks prior by calling 952-979-1101.
