Open to the public Tuesday through Saturday 7:30am-3pm, with extended hours on Thursdays until 8pm.  Cashless payment only.

Managed by Hopkins Center for the Arts, The Depot Coffee House offers coffee, refreshments, and light snacks for purchase. The Depot is a popular and convenient Three Rivers Park District regional trail stop, featuring art exhibitions and music. 

The Depot is a trailhead for Three Rivers Park District regional trails, and offers parking, portable restrooms, and drinking water. For questions related to trailhead operations at the Depot, please contact Three Rivers Park District at 763-559-9000.


Live Performances / Music and Special Events

In partnership with the Hopkins Center for the Arts, The Depot will feature Member Artists Spotlight visual art exhibitions in the Bay Room.  Additionally, numerous opportunities exist for musicians at The Depot.

- 2nd Thursday Live Music + Members' Musician Spotlight: 

6-8pm, second Thursday of each month September - May. Open to the public, sponsored by the Friends of Hopkins Center for the Arts.

In 2026, the Friends of Hopkins Center for the Arts will feature Mother Banjo on Thursday, February 12, followed by duo Suzy Plays Guitar on Thursday, March 12, with monthly featured artists to be named for April 9 and May 14. For the summer, please join us at Downtown Park for Sunset Series concerts on Thursday evenings.

  • Music, spoken word, comedy
  • Members must pre-register to perform at: Members' Musician Spotlight Signup. 
  • 6-7pm: Each performer will have a 15-minute slot, maximum of 1 spot per performer/group. 
  • 7:15-8pm: Featured local musicians will finish the evening out!


Cash bar by Cream & Amber. Coffee and concessions available for purchase

  • $5 cover at the door. Open mic performers - free admission.


- 4th Thursday All Ages Open Mic Night:

6-8pm, fourth Thursday of each month September through May. Open to the public.

  • Music, spoken word, comedy, bring your talent to the Depot stage!
  • All ages welcome, family-friendly events with rules that include no explicit language by performers. 
  • Each performer will have a 10-minute slot, maximum of 1 spot per performer/group. 
  • Must pre-register at: Open Mic Night.
  • Coffee and concessions available for purchase.


Rent the Depot for Your Event

Youth Advisory Board

The Depot Youth Advisory Board is a group of up to 15 students from the Hopkins or Minnetonka school districts in grades 9-12. This membership group has multiple leadership duties pertaining to youth activities at the Depot. This includes: attending monthly board meetings, public speaking, attending leadership retreats, creating new programs, etc.

Events sponsored by Youth Advisory Board provide a chemical-free safe zone designed by youth for youth. Local high school students volunteer on the Youth Advisory Board for the duration of their high school careers and help to shape youth programs offered at the Depot and promote our mission-driven work.
